Melissa Ricks on why her mom approves of Paul Jake Castillo: ‘Mas mature na ako ngayon’ |

Melissa Ricks admitted that the best thing about her relationship with Paul Jake Castillo is that he makes her feel secure and beautiful. Add to the fact that her parents approve of the ex-PBB housemate from Cebu as her new boyfriend. “Boto naman sila kay Paul Jake. Yes, dati strict sila. Matalino na raw ako ngayon. Bagets pa kasi ako dati. Ngayon mas mature and responsible ako. So kami ni Paul Jake masaya lang, walang stress. Just having fun, going out with our friends,” said Melissa when Push.com.ph caught up with her and Paul Jake at the Star Magic ball.
On his part, Paul Jake said that he’s also lucky to have a girlfriend like Melissa. “My parents are also very happy for me. Matagal ko ng naipakilala si Melissa sa kanila. Our relationship just started. Six months lang, pero parang ang bilis. I love everything about her. Magaling din siya magalaga ng boyfriend. And kahit na busy, we always make time for each other.” They also make no secret of how they are as a couple since they often share their kulitan moments on Twitter.
When asked about her previous statement that it’s hard to forgive someone who hasn’t even asked for forgiveness, Melissa did not deny that she was referring to her ex-boyfriend Jake Cuenca back then. But even though there wasn’t a formal closure to their past romance, the young actress maintained that she has no more angst about their breakup. “No, wala na sa akin yun. I’m ok. Pero there are things na better left behind. Huwag na natin halungkatin. We should move on. It’s been almost two years. Sana we can all be happy.”
As everyone can see, Melissa is happy to have found someone who treats her right. “Kinikilig ako sa kanya kahit wala siyang ginagawa. It doesn’t take much to make me happy. He’s worth the wait. I’ve learned a lot. Tignan mo naman ang outcome,” she finally stated.
