Marco Maurer describes how Mario is as a brother
by Krissa Donida | November 08, 2012 8:57 AM |

Mario Maurer’s only brother Marco, who is older than him by five years, supported him during the premiere night of his movie Suddenly It's Magic. Push.com.ph had the chance to chat with the Thai rapper who also has a musical career in Thailand.

When Push asked him to describe Mario as a brother, he replied fondly that Mario is very playful. “Whenever I have troubles, he is always there to help me and try to solve the problem I am having. Actually he is a very nice brother a guy could have.”

Marco also described Mario’s relationship with their German father who passed away in 2008 because of a heart attack due to diabetic complications. “Mario and my Dad were very close. Before he passed away years ago, Mario always stayed with him at the factory, the factory that we have and they always talked about the classic cars and when he (their father) was young in Germany.”

Mario is also very close to his mother even if they’re both busy. According to Marco, “With our Mom, she was kind of busy, she is a working woman so most of the time they always talk on the phone so my Mom always teaches Mario how to behave and to live his life and his work.”

Marco was able to watch Suddenly It’s Magic and he was vocal of how proud he was of his brother’s performance. “I love it you know because this is his first movie speaking in English and in Tagalog, and the acting he did was very well in the movie.” And when Push asked him how proud he is of his brother, he answered, “I was proud since the day he was born you know because I love him so much and he is a cool brother.”

Push also asked Marco if he had something to do with the rap Mario did in the movie since he is a professional rapper. “Yeah, I helped him a little.”

He also recalled the fondest memory he had with Mario during their early years. He talked about what Mario did when he graduated from university. “When we were young, my Mom was working very hard and I was like with the hip-hop thing and all the rappers they have their own chain and stuff. And when I graduated from the university, he brought me this present with my name on it with the blingy stuff but it was too big to go around anywhere but it was the best present that he gave me.”
