Even with a line of acting projects this year, Kristine Hermosa decided it was time to finally go back to school. In the February issue of Metro Magazine, the 25-year-old mestiza shares that she finally decided it was time to go back to her studies. The Metro magazine cover girl is currently enrolled in the University of the Philippines Open University program where she is pursuing an Associate in Arts degree. “I enrolled in the second semester. The staff was surprised when I went inside the office. I decided to study in UP because my grandmothers on the Hermosa side were professors there,” she says in the cover story. Tin-tin also shares how it felt to go back to feeling like a student again. “At the beginning, I was just trying to get the hang of it. I even said ‘I’m so lost!’ It’s really hard, but I need to get used to it. This is my chance,” she shares to Metro.

The pretty actress, who will soon be paired with ex-flame Jericho Rosales and heartthrob Derek Ramsay on separate acting projects says she’s been enjoying the single life lately. “I’ve been independent for quite some time.Do everything without a helper. I’m hands-on with my life,” she admits. Tin-tin also says that she is glad that she and Echo got over their initial awkwardness of working together again after doing an episode of Maalaala Mo Kaya together recently. “That was the first time Echo and I were paired up after a long time. We never had a chance to really talk after we broke up, so we didn’t know where to start when we saw each other on the set. Even having a simple conversation was hard,” she recalls. But things are definitely much better now between the two, with Echo even being supportive of her in their new teleserye, where they play childhood sweethearts. “We’ve caught up on each other’s lives. The other people on set we’re actually teasing us that we might get back together,” she tells Metro.
