Zanjoe Marudo looks forward to more blessings in showbiz

Since making waves as a housemate in Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition in 2006, Zanjoe Marudo has enjoyed a very fruitful showbiz career. As a way of saying thank you, Zanjoe, together with his Banana Split co-stars John Prats and Jayson Gainza, visited the ABS-CBN.com chatroom for an exclusive online chat with fans from all over the world. Zanjoe expressed his overwhelming happiness for having found his place in showbiz. After that nabigyan naman ako ng pagkakataon na makapag-artista so sobrang happy ako.”

Of course, Zanjoe has a deep gratitude to his home network ABS-CBN for giving him good projects. From being a familiar face on the ramp and print ads, Zanjoe is now one of the hottest leading men on television. He was paired with Anne Curtis in the primetime fantaserye Dyosa and now in the new romantic comedy series The Wedding. Zanjoe will soon steal the heart of KC Concepcion from Piolo Pascual in the upcoming teleserye Lovers in Paris.

Zanjoe just flew back from the US after the very successful Star Magic concert tour. He said that he is hoping to do a repeat of the concert here in the Philippines so more fans can come and see all the big stars of ABS-CBN.

On the other hand, Zanjoe says he definitely enjoys working with good friends John and Jayson on Banana Split. Their comedic trio began in the 2007 sitcom Aalog Alog and they went on to star in comedyserye Parekoy early this year. He even joked about the idea of bringing their trio from the small screen to the big screen. “Siguro kapag naka-ipon ‘yung pelikula naming tatlo ako na ang magpo-produce, kasi parang walang may gusto, ha ha ha! Masaya ‘yun kapag nagkasama sama kami sa isang movie.”

This six foot five moreno hunk may look tough at first glance but John and Jayson, having known their friend for a few years now, revealed something surprising about Zanjoe. John said that Zanjoe can also be very affectionate towards other people. “Malambing ‘yan pero in a manly way. Jayson added that Zanjoe is also a mushy guy.
