Fourteen years after she appeared in a beer commercial that earned her the moniker “sabado nights girl,” Ina Raymundo still has the looks and physique that won male audiences over years ago. Ina, now a mother of three at 31, will soon be seen in the upcoming teleserye Precious Hearts Romances presents Midnight Phantom. She will be playing the stepmother of Denise Laurel, a woman who had a past affair with Rafael Rosell.

At the story conference for the show, Ina revealed that she missed acting very much. She added that she is thankful that people still find her pretty and sexy. “I'm more flattered than before. When you are young kasi and when you hear a lot of comments like that, parang you just take it for granted. Pero now, every word na compliment, thankful ako.” Apart from being an in-demand sexy model during the late ‘90s, Ina also appeared in a few sexy films like Shame, Madame X, and Burlesk Queen Ngayon.

But even before shooting begins for Midnight Phantom, Ina already spoke to the PHR’s management headed by Lauren Dyogi about the love scene she will be doing in the series. “Afternoon show kasi ito, pero may love scene na medyo weird, wild! Parang never ko ngang nabasa ang ganoong klaseng script kahit sa movie, tapos heto ngayonsa TV at afternoon pa. Pero sabi naman nila they will do something about it.”

Apparently, Ina had said goodbye to sexy roles that people know her for. Although her Canadian husband Bryan Poturnak is very supportive of her decision to accept acting projects, she had already made a vow not to do kissing scenes and love scenes. “Isa kasi talaga yun sa mga restrictions ko. Ayaw niya. At kahit ako rin naman, ayoko rin.” She revealed that she has already turned down offers to pose for sexy magazines because, according to her, she no longer has the guts to do it. “Wala akong guts, magiging awkward ako. Hindi ko na kaya ‘yung mga looks na magpo-project. Natatawa ako sa sarili ko kapag nagagawa ko yun. Ayoko rin namang makita ng mga anak ko.”

She said that her husband’s family is aware of her showbiz background. “Kailan lang may nakita sila ‘yung cover kosa People magazine na naka-panty lang ako at blouse. They didn't say anything. Actually, my daughter, she was proud. She's very smart, liberated, hindi siya narrow-minded. Parang mana siya sa daddy niya. Alam niyang work lang ‘yun.”

Now a devout Born Again Christian, Ina said that she tries not to have regrets over the sexy roles she has done in the past. “Siguro kung hindi ako Christian, meron siguro [na regret.] Pero ngayong Kristiyano na ako, alam ko na napatawad na ako ni God sa mga ginawa ko, at napatawad ko na rin ‘yung sarili ko sa mga bad decisions ko before. Now I'm so happy. I'm healed. Kung ano man ang past ko na hindi maganda, healed na ako dun.”
