Kris Aquino has just left with family for a vacation in Hawaii. “You’ll be missing me for a little bit. 10 days po nangako ako sa mga anak ko na kailangan nila ng panahon na magkakasama kami bago bumalik sa PBA si James (Yap). It’s with so much pleasure on my behalf kasi maghohost muna ang ating minamahal na Entertainment Live girls (Toni Gonzaga, Mariel Rodriguez, and Bianca Gonzalez) together with Boy (Abunda),” she announced on Showbiz News Ngayon (SNN).
While Kris has always wanted to bring her kids Joshua and Baby James to Disney World, she decided to bring them first to Hawaii since they love swimming so much. SNN got the chance to see Kris’s last-minute preparations for their trip and how organized she is when it comes to traveling abroad. She prepared printouts of their plane tickets, daily itinerary, maps of tourist destinations, and hotel reservation forms which were all placed in separate plastic folders. “Ganyan ako ka-OC magbakasyon,” she admitted with a laugh.
But before she left for the airport, she expressed her thanks to the people who have shown their support for her and the Aquino family, especially now that her brother Noynoy is determined to continue the moral leadership of their mother Cory Aquino. “Sinabi ni Claudine (Barretto) sa akin, ‘Ano ka ba friendship, para sa ‘yo ito, para sa mommy mo, para kay Noynoy, para sa bayan, at para kay Ama.’ Kaya friendship, hi, I love you, and salamat. Bea (Alonzo), I love you, alam mo yun! Salamat din sa sinabi niyang magreregister din siya (for her to vote in the 2010 elections). Kay Mariel (Rodriguez) go go go!,” she exclaimed.
Kris was also overwhelmed by Sharon Cuneta whose husband Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan was willing to give up his Vice Presidential bid in favor of reformative governance led by Noynoy. “Nakapagpasalamat na ako siyempre kay Mega. Sabi ko wala na ako maibabalik sa inyo except my services. So sabi ko, ‘Kung gusto mo ako mag-guest sa MMFF (Metro Manila Film Fest) movie mo, I’m there.’ Pero sinabi sa akin ni Mega kaya sobrang na-touch ako, ‘Kris hindi naman kami tumutulong ni Kiko asking for anything in return. But that is the sweetest message I could have ever received,’” she revealed.
Kris shared how grateful she is to all her friends who completely trust her family’s intentions at this point in Noynoy’s political career. “Lahat sila sinabi sa akin, ‘Kilala ka namin. Nakikila namin ang pamilya mo kaya maasahan mo kami.’ I just want to say thank you. Lahat ng hinihingan ko ng tulong hindi ko makakalimutan. Wala na siguro akong mahihiling pa,” she concluded.
