Regine Angeles recalls how her home almost got destroyed by Typhoon Ondoy

Regine originally planned to buy a digital SLR camera as a gift to herself, but she instead bought furniture for her house which got damaged by Typhoon Ondoy. “First time naming binaha sa Cubao, lampas tao, at lubog yung first floor namin.” She was taken by surprise by what happened since just the night before the typhoon, she was with the rest of the cast of Tayong Dalawa for the show’s farewell party.

Her parents weren’t home from the market yet when she woke up and there was little she could do to save their things like their appliances.

In the end, Regine said that they were still better off than the other families who totally lost their homes to the major flooding in the city. So alam mo yun, meron pa rin namang natira sa amin,” she stated.

This experience made her realize that people should start taking good care of their surroundings or risk nature’s wrath again. “Natakot ako, akala ko mage-end of the world na. Iba kasi yung ulan. Tuloy-tuloy talaga. At the same time, she learned never to take her life for granted.

In the meantime, Regine can’t wait to be part of the Star Magic’s concert for a cause at the Araneta Coliseum on November 13 where she will be performing a sexy production number together with Wendy, Roxanne, Nina Dolino, and Erica Paredes.
