Ex-PBB Double Up housemate Patrick Villanueva talks about his future plans

Patrick Villanueva is ready for whatever opportunities may come his way after his stint as a housemate of Pinoy Big Brother Double Up. Patrick said he is open into giving showbiz a try, even as he knows that it will put him and his family under public scrutiny. “Even before I entered the Big Brother house, marami na kaming sacrifices na ginawa, tulad ng I had to leave my job. Maraming changes talaga sa pamumuhay namin as a couple and as a family. We just have to be prepared. Kung anuman ‘yung mga haharapin namin, ang importante may understanding lagi at maipaliwanag ng mabuti ang situation sa mga kids.”

The 32-year-old bank credit officer from Baguio knows how to play the guitar, and in a few instances inside the house, he showcased his singing voice. Patrick expressed his disappointment over not being a part of the New Year’s Concert weekly task which happened after his eviction. “Gusto ko sana ‘yun, to be able to sing. Kasi I don’t dance e, pero ‘pag singing hindi ako umaatras. Sana din nakapag-play ako ng instruments.” He further shared that he has the knack for making people laugh. “Kwela akong tao lalo na sa office. Kaya lang siguro sa more than two months ko dun sa bahay ni Kuya, naaapektuhan na rin ako ng stress and nawalan na din ng drive dahil sa pagka-miss sa family ko.”

Patrick resigned from his job of 11 years to be a part of PBB Double Up. Although he didn’t make it to the Big Night, he is still open to other opportunities, mentioning that the reason he quit his job was for a drastic shift in career. He confessed that he has a big crush on Angel Loscin and said that he would love to work with her. Patrick met the International Emmy-nominated actress during a recent TV guest appearance wherein he found her a down-to-earth and dedicated to her craft.

Becoming homesick was a big challenge for Patrick while he was still inside the PBB house. He owed up to making a few mistakes, which might have offended the people and his wife. But Patrick said that he and his wife have already talked things over. “Ano mang nangyari sa bahay, wala siyang galit o lungkot. Naiintindihan niya kung ano mang nagawa ko sa loob. Mas nalulungkot siya kapag nakakabasa ng comments sa blog o internet na name-misinterpret ako. Kasi alam niya na hindi naman ‘yun totoo.”
