Our exotic beaches, warm weather and friendly attitude have always lured many tourists and vacationing kababayans.  Filipinos and foreigners alike have proclaimed the Philippines as the ultimate summer destination.   This year, the Kapamilya Network presents a colorful story behind the claim – the true colors behind the PINOY SUMMER and the amazing reasons why it’s “DA BEST FOREVER.”

ABS-CBN believes that the beauty of summer in the Philippines is not only seen through its natural resources, but it is most evident in its people.  With this year’s Summer Station ID Theme, “Pinoy Summer, Da Best Forever,” the network paints a picture of how Filipinos are proud of their heritage and values as reflected in our very own festivals.   Bayanihan, camaraderie, unity, respect and love for one’s self are the prime Filipino values highlighted.  Color and joy spread like the summer heat, awakening the festivities and making celebrations more alive.

A rainbow brightens up the sky as a group of festival dancers offers a free ride to the beautiful Angelica Panganiban, the hunky Zanjoe Marudo, funny man John Prats and the comedic trio Melai Cantiveros, Pooh and Jason Gainza.        

It’s Showtime in Guimaras as Anne Curtis, Vice Ganda, Vhong Navarro, Karylle, Billy Crawford, Kuya Kim, Ryan Bang, Colleen Garcia, Jugs Jugueta and Teddy Corpuz feast on golden yellow mangoes during a mangga eating contest.  But there’s no way defeating a local who they later crown the champion, Mangga King.

Summer festival parades become beautiful blankets of flowers as AiAi delas Alas leads the festival crowd in her floral float.

Angel Locsin epitomizes the magnetizing Filipina smile as she makes even the killjoys join the festivities.

Cliff diving has never looked more tempting as the ultimate heartthrob, Piolo Pascual, jumps off the glazing rocks to retrieve a friend’s valuable which was accidentally dropped in the clear blue sea.

The theme song is performed by Sarah Geronimo and Gerald Anderson with lyrics by Christine Daria-Estabillo and music by Marcus and Amber Davis.

The 2012 Summer Station ID was created by ABS-CBN Creative Communications Management headed by Robert Labayen, Johnny Delos Santos, Patrick de Leon and Ira Zabat.  The SID production team was supervised by Edsel Misenas, Kathrina Sanchez, Danie Sedilla-Cruz and Dang Fortaleza-Baldonado.  Members of Creative and Production team; Sheryl Ramos, Love Rose De Leon, Christine Joy Laxamana, Pamela Joy Mercado, Mark Bravo, Christian Faustino, Christine Daria-Estabillo and Shally Tablada.
