'MMK' episode that deals with the rape of a minor airs this Saturday |

ABS-CBN was finally given the go-signal by the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) to air the controversial “Maalaala Mo Kaya” episode that deals with the story of a teenage girl who was repeatedly raped, once even in front of her own mother. The episode will air this Saturday (June 30).
From the previously obtained X-rating, the ‘Cursed Beauty’ episode was granted by the MTRCB with a rating of 'SPG' or 'strong parental guidance.' The ‘SPG’ rating was given to the show after being thoroughly reviewed by the agency since its June 2 airing was postponed.
Former “Goin’ Bulilit” child star Jane Oineza portrays the 15-year-old girl named Nene who was recurrently raped by her stepfather. But her world drastically changed when her mother even assisted her live-in partner in the act of rape. Since then, Nene cursed the ‘beauty’ that she possesses. How can someone who lost her self-respect regain her love for herself?
Together with Jane in the "MMK" episode are Angel Aquino, Carlos Morales, RS Francisco, Vangie Labalan, Ana Abad Santos, Archie Alemania, Gerald Madrid, Jacko Benin, Kyline Alcantara, Liz Alindogan, Jesette Prospero, Minco Fabregas, and Elaine Quemuel..
