Us Girls host Chesca Garcia's wedding to Doug Kramer is just days away, with it set for October 9, Thursday, at the Blue Leaf Events Place, The Fort, TaguigCity. As the big day nears, everyone is eagerly waiting for Chesca's brother, Patrick Garcia, to return from the US where he has been for the past few months. Patrick had left the country to pursue his studies—and to avoid the controversy that followed his breakup with then pregnant girlfriend Jennylyn Mercado.
Reliable sources have told ABS-CBN.com that Patrick is expected to arrive this weekend in time to attend his sister’s wedding. Patrick and another brother, Pichon, have an important role in the wedding. An intimate family gathering is set on Monday next week with both Chesca and Doug's families in attendance. It is yet unclear if Patrick will be visiting Jennylyn and their baby boy.
In the meantime, things are all set for wedding. Chesca and Doug's entourage includes Bench owner Ben Chan, PLDT's Manny Pangilinan, former senatorial candidate Prospero Pichay, manager Arnold Vegafria, restaurateur Margarita Fores, Petit Monde owner Dorothy Tiongson, and Regal Films' Roselle Monteverde-Teo. Basketball buddies JC Intal, Chris Tiu, Macky Escalona, and Ian Dy will be the groomsmen while Anne Curtis, Nancy Castiliogne, Chesca Litton, Danica Sotto, Liz Uy, and Antoinette Taus will be bridesmaids.
Last Sunday, September 28, Chesca's closest friends had their fitting session with designer Puey Quiñones who had a freehand in designing Chesca’s gown. Dyosa lead star Anne, best bud Danica, magazine fashion editor Liz, and former child actress Antoinette were at the fitting to bond with the bride and their fellow bridesmaids. Despite Filipino custom and superstition, Chesca wore her gown to check the fit and for Puey to make final adjustments.
The fitting was exclusively covered by Entertainment Live. A full coverage of the wedding, from the proposal and the preparations up to the personal interviews with the family members, friends, and the couple will be aired on Us Girls on October 12, Sunday 8 pm.
