EXCLUSIVE: Chesca Garcia is now officially Mrs. Doug Kramer
by MJ Felipe | October 10, 2008 8:53 PM |

Francesca Marie Garcia—or Chesca—is now officially Mrs. Doug Kramer. Last October 9, Thursday, at the Blue Leaf Events Place in McKinley Hill, TaguigCity, Chesca and Doug exchanged I dos in front of their closest friends and family members.

Chesca and Doug's wedding entourage included well-known personalities from showbiz, politics, and business. Some of the principal sponsors were Cibo and Café Bola owner Margarita Fores, former Senatorial candidate Prospero Pichay, Regal Films' Roselle Monteverde-Teo, ALV Talent Management Firm head and Chesca's manager Arnold Vegafria, and Roberto de Ocampo. All in all, they had thirty principal sponsors.

Their secondary sponsors included the couple’s closest buds from basketball and showbiz. MYX VJ aspirant Macky Escalona, basketball heartthrob/TV host Chris Tiu, hard court hero JC Intal, and brothers of the groom Lincoln and Mark Kramer who came all the way from the US were some of the groomsmen. Bridesmaids wearing Puey Quiñones creations of royal blue and salmon pink included Anne Curtis, Nancy Castiglione, Danica Sotto-Pingris, Lizelle Uy, and Antoinette Taus. As expected, Chesca's controversial brother Patrick Garcia was there, along with elder brother Pichon.

A heavy downpour slightly delayed the start of the ceremony, but when Jeffrey Hidalgo and the band started playing the couple's chosen wedding march, "No One Else Comes Close" (originally sung by Joe), everyone was more than eager to see the bride.

At the altar, Doug was in tears as he watched Chesca walk down the aisle. It was an emotional moment for everyone and bridesmaids Anne, Nancy, and Antoinette also cried. Doug was again teary-eyed while he was saying his vows to his bride. The wedding ceremony lasted for more than an hour.

Some of the guests spotted during the wedding reception were Chesca's co-hosts on Studio 23's Us Girls Angel Aquino and Iya Villania (the latter escorted by longtime boyfriend Drew Arellano); buddies Mylene Dizon, Angelu de Leon, and Maricar De Mesa; sisters Sharmaine Arnaiz and Bunny Paras; Jackie Forster with a handsome foreigner; brothers Richard and Raymond Gutierrez; Mico Palanca; JM Rodriguez; and Bianca King and Hale's lead vocalist Champ Lui-Pio.

Immediately after the ceremony, ABS-CBN.com got the chance to chat with the newlyweds who were at a loss for words to express their happiness and fulfillment. They were so thankful to see all their friends and families at a momentous event of their lives. The couple revealed that their honeymoon will follow after a few months and they plan to go to Dubai and Mexico. Doug also revealed that they don’t have any plans of having kids real soon, but if it comes they'd be grateful and happy.

You can catch the full-length coverage of Chesca and Doug’s wedding—including a look into their childhoods, their love story, the intense wedding preparations (venue, flowers, food, gown, and suits, hairstyles, and makeup), the ceremony, the reception, and exclusive interviews, in a two-part special of Us Girls beginning this Sunday, October 12, on Studio23, 8 pm.
