Billy Crawford considers Nikki Gil a blessing
by Bernie Franco | November 21, 2008 9:04 AM |

Looks like international performer Billy Crawford has more than enough reasons to extend his stay in the Philippines. Aside from admitting that he missed the country a lot, he has already revealed that his love life is on the upswing because of fellow singer Nikki Gil. The two have publicly admitted that they are currently going out. When asked to describe his love life in one word, Billy answered, “Blessing.”

“We’re definitely getting to know each other,” explained Billy in an interview with ABS-CBN.com. “It’s obviously too early to tell anything naman on both sides.” The singer enthused that he is presently happy with how things are going on between him and Nikki. He even dropped a very interesting statement: “I’m looking forward to approaching this New Year with more success, more blessings, and hopefully, a good love life.” In her interviews, Nikki has emphasized that she and Billy are enjoying each other’s company.

Meanwhile, Billy explained that his prolonged stay in the Philippines is both because of personal and career reasons. He is now working on his local album, aside from his other showbiz commitments. Billy clarified that he is not disregarding his international career, which has reportedly waned. Billy denied this and said, “I’ve finished recording my international album. But it just takes a lot more time [working on it such as the promotion.] We’re in the process of taking care of the overseas negotiations right now, but I’m also taking my time here. I think this time around I’m really enjoying my stay here.”

The singer also shared that he is grabbing the chance to be with his family, with whom he needs to catch up with for lost time, particularly his father. “My dad’s coming here. He’s kind of sick… he’s getting old so as much as I can, I will spend time with my father, because I haven’t spent time with him,” Billy said.
