Christian Bautista was all smiles when ABS-CBN.com caught up with him during the opening of Fox Clothing Line at Greenbelt 5 last Wednesday night, November 19. With his full schedule, shopping for clothes was a rare opportunity so he made sure he check out the latest arrivals from Fox’s latest winter collection. “Nandito ako to support Fox Jeans kasi it's part of the Bench family. I’m here to support this product and hopefully to get it known all over the Philippines,” he said in an interview with ABS-CBN.com.

Christian has been busy lately with his stints abroad so being able to mingle with other Kapamilya stars who were also present at the store opening was a nice change for him. “This month ang dami ko’ngout-of-the-country shows. I’ve been to Bali, Singapore, Taiwan, and New Jersey so medyo jetlag pa ako ngayon. I am also busy promoting my album (entitled Captured). Mayroon ding big decisions that has to be made so baka next year malalaman natin yun. I can’t say it now pero nasa planning for the next year kung ano gagawin,” he amicably shared.

When he mentioned that he would be staging a concert at the Music Museum with Sitti and Richard Poon before the year ends, ABS-CBN.com asked the Asia’s Pop Idol if his ex-girlfriend Rachelle Ann Go will also be there as a guest. To which he answered, “You mean manonood? I'll probably invite her siguro if she has time.” Apparently, the two have remained good friends despite their much-talked about breakup last year. “Well not that close, alam mo yun? Kapag nagkikita lang sa ASAP, I mean nag-uusap naman kami. We're okay. That’s what’s really important,” he admitted.

True enough, the two of them continue to perform together onstage proving that they did not let their personal differences affect their professional relationship. “Kumakanta pa rin kami together sa Grand Champions. I guess that's the beauty of what happened. Na parang hindi dapat kami mainis sa isa’t-isa, na dapat magkaibigan pa rin kami, and professional pa rin kami sa ginagawa namin,” he admitted.

Contrary to what other people may think, Christian took the news about Rachelle finding a new man very well. In fact, he has nothing but good words for both Rachelle and Gab Valenciano, who both recently admitted to be exclusively dating each other. “Well good for them. If they’re happy, you know. I wish them happiness. I see them sa ASAP, wala, hi-hello lang. Walang selos factor kasi matagal na rin namang wala na kami [ni Rachelle],” he stressed.

For his part, Christian has also started seeing other girls though maybe not as serious as what Rachelle has with Gab at the moment. “Right now, no exclusive dating [for me]. Ha ha ha! Just friendly dates and going-outs. Pero hindi naman ako looking or on the prowl. I’m probably waiting for the right time,” he explained.

Does he look for certain endearing qualities before asking a girl out? “I think wala naman talagang specific type of girl na dapat ganito siya or ganyan. Ayoko yung ipa-pattern ko siya sa isang type ko lang kasi she can be anybody. Basta importante lang she’s honest, she’s true to herself and hindi ka pinapakitaan ng front,” he revealed.
