During his acceptance speech for winning the Best Game Show Host award the 22^nd Star Awards for TV, Edu Manzano sent the crowd into cheers because he gave a special mention to broadcast journalist Pinky Webb. His relationship with his fellow Umagang Kay Ganda host has been much speculated over the years and this is the first time that Edu addressed Pinky as someone special in his life. It was said that Pinky looked really flushed during Edu’s speech. After the awards night, the host was asked if he saw Pinky’s reaction to his message. "Hindi kasi sanay si Pinky Webb sa awards night, iba to eh. First time niya sa Star Awards for Television so medyo andun pa rin 'yung konting nerbiyos," Edu replied with a smile.

During the POV (Points, Opinion, Violent Reaction) portion of The Buzz last Sunday Ruffa Gutierrez even mentioned that the two hosts relationship has been going strong for years. "Apat na taon na sila.And you know, it's also good for Pinky na i-acknowledge siya ni Edu. Baka daw next year ikasal na sila, that's what I heard," Ruffa shared. Kris Aquino on the other hand expressed her concern over Edu’s legal status because of his previous marriage to actress Maricel Soriano. "I don't know what Edu's legal status is with regards to Ate Mary (Maricel). Legality sana ‘di ba (ayus na). Para at least matahimik. He and Pinky really look good together it is such a happy healthy relationship," explained Kris. "Sana legally (speaking) ayos ito para maging maganda rin 'yung simula ng relationship."

Boy Abunda, who is a very good friend of Edu, expressed his admiration towards the Pilipinas Game K N B? host. "Eduardo (Edu) is looking his best. His doing very, very well in his career and if you'll see him, you wouldn't imagine he is 42." Boy jokingly said for Edu celebrated his 53^rd birthday already. "He looks very young," Boy ended.
