But during the story conference of an teleserye, Liezel’s husband Albert Martinez briefly spoke of how a positive outlook helps him and his family handle such an ordeal. “That’s how I look at life. Albert and Liezel have been married for over 20 years and have three children: Alyanna, Alfonso, and Alyssa. A former child star, Liezel is the daughter of actress Amalia Fuentes and actor Romeo Vasquez. When rumors about Liezel’s health started to go around, no one in the family would either confirm or deny the reports. It was Liezel’s cousin, former child superstar Niño Muhlach, who confirmed that Liezel had been diagnosed with breast cancer but that the prognosis was good.
