Dina Bonnevie denied she has breast cancer after a recent write-up claimed that the actress had been diagnosed with the said disease. “I have nothing; I’m perfectly healthy,” Dina began. “Palagay mo bigla akong nagkaroon ng breast cancer? (And) why will I deny it?”

The actress, who will soon be seen in the upcoming Kapamilya teleserye May BukasPa, added that if she was ever diagnosed with cancer, she would admit it publicly because it is not something to be ashamed of. “Sasabihin ko sa mga tao na talagang meron akong cancer so [that] they can pray for me. Hindi naman siya venereal disease,” she pointed out.

Dina was also upset with the writer who had started rumor, saying that she will take action against the culprit. “Hay nako, whoever wrote that again, magtago ka na because I’m not going to take this sitting down. Kung sino man ‘yung sumulat n’yan. Hello, kapal n’ya naman,” she warned. The actress also revealed that she suspects that the doctor who examined her could be the person responsible for spreading the false report. “Nagpa-check up ako, and if the doctor is listening, you should resign from your profession!” declared the actress.

Dina said that she only has a benign lump somewhere on her back. “Nung pinatingnan ko, hindi naman cyst. It’s a sebaceous gland lang na lumaki. Baka ‘yung doctor na ‘yun ang nagtsismis,” she shared. She also disclosed that the hands of the doctor who examined her reeked of cigarettes, something which greatly offended her. “I don’t want to use the word pero talagang nababuyan ako, pati ‘yung breath niya. Siguro naman kung doctor ka, can you please be neat because pasyente ‘yung kaharap mo?” Dina retorted.

The doctor had also told her to come back for a follow-up check-up, but she declined to do so. “Sabi ko sa friend ko, ‘Sabihin mo sa kanya I don’t want to go back to him because his hands are reeking of nicotine,’” she said.
