Host Boy Abunda revealed on Showbiz News Ngayon last Tuesday night (February 17) that Wowowee host Willie Revillame is confined at the St. Luke's Medical hospital since Sunday (February 15), and is undergoing an angiogram procedure due to a heart condition.
Boy elaborated that the said procedure will determine if the host will have to go through angioplasty, a surgery which aims to unclog obstructed blood vessels.
In August 2008, Willie had an executive physical check-up, which revealed that he has throat, heart, and intestinal problems. He then admitted that his doctors advised him to have a one-month rest, but he has not been able to follow their orders because of his schedule in Wowowee. Since this Monday (February 16), Randy Santiago has temporarily taken over Willie's place as host for the noon-time show.
Meanwhile, last night's episode of SNN continued with host Kris Aquino's interview with Willie, while touring his P70 million-worth yacht. Kris asked Willie if he thinks that he is the highest paid entertainer nowadays, to which he answered, "’Di ko alam eh, hindi ko naman pinepresyuhan ang sarili ko. Ang buhay hindi naman sa halaga ng pera mo yan, eh. Ang buhay hindi naman sa halaga ng anung meron ka. I think ang buhay ay sa halaga ng sino 'yung mga taong nagmamahal sa 'yo nagmamalasakit sa 'yo. Most important na kayamanan. Willie also said that he’d like to leave a legacy to the Filipino viewers. "'Pag naalala ka nila, nakangiti na ang buong pamilya. It's not just the money. 'Yun bang napasaya mo sila. Everyday napapasaya natin sila. Yun na lang 'yon. Let's not talk about the financial aspect. Legacy na maiiwan ko yung ngingiti kaagad sa mga mukha ng Pilipino."
