One of the highlights during the star-studded ABS-CBN trade launch at Rockwell Tent last Thursday night, February 19, was the romantic duet of Jericho Rosales and Kristine Hermosa. As it is, fans are already excited with their upcoming soap Dahil May Isang Ikaw (formerly titled as Ikaw Lamang) which they have yet to start taping. “Hindi pa nga eh. So far yung look test pa lang at saka teaser yung nagagawa namin. Meron din kaming training for swimming and diving as part of our preparation. Magkababata kasi kami ni Echo dun sa story and naka-base kami in Palawan where he works as a diver,” Kristine explained to ABS-CBN.com.

Other than hoping for viewers’ all-out support for their newest project, the 25-year-old actress feels no pressure about doing her first teleserye with Echo since Sana’y Wala Ng Wakas, which aired five years ago. “Wala namang pressure na gano’n. I am just taking everything one at a time. Wala naman. Actually, I don’t really want to expect anything pero ang only thing na gusto ko lang mangyari sana tanggapin pa rin ng mga tao at mahalin pa rin nila kami the way na minahal nila yung team-up namin before. So yun lang. I am hoping for the best,” she maintained.

Like most single ladies, Kristine revealed that she spent Valentine’s Day having a quiet dinner with close friends. “Well for a change, parang fun din pala to spend it with friends kasi ‘di ba ang Valentines naman hindi lang pang-couples eh para din sa mga kaibigan and pang family so yun, nagdinner lang kami. Masaya naman,” she recounted. Kristine didn’t elaborate though if she was with her rumored suitor Oyo Boy Sotto who is often seen in her company. “We’re still good friends,” she simply stated, given the rumors involving the two of them.

Kristine gave her reaction to Dina Bonnevie’s stern warning to her son Oyo Boy to not to interfere with the affairs between the Dahil May Isang Ikaw star and ex-husband Diether Ocampo. “Wala, nakakatuwa naman marinig yun kay Ms. Dina. And yeah hindi naman ever si Oyo nanghimasok sa relationship, sa buhay, or sa istorya namin ni Diet eh. Nirerespeto naman niya yun bilang kaibigan ko,” she went on to clarify. Even though she was previously open about dating Oyo, it seems that she is more reserved now compared to Diether who has been very vocal about his newfound ladylove. “Huwag na muna. Ayoko munang pumasok sa isang relasyon ngayon. Pero ‘di ba hindi naman natin masasabi kung may dumating eh,” she maintained.

Though word got out recently that her marriage to Diether had finally been annulled, Kristine hopes that people would understand if she chooses not to give details about it for now. “Actually hindi ko pa talaga alam and hindi pa rin kami pwedeng magsalita tungkol d’yan sa case. So kapag meron na talagang final [decision/development] malalaman naman ng lahat ng tao yun eh,” she stressed
