Boy Abunda to Dr. Vicki Belo: ‘I forgive you’
by Bernie Franco | March 02, 2009 1:17 AM |

Boy Abunda finally accepted Dr. Vicki Belo’s apology on The Buzz last Sunday after the doctor gave a controversial statement about him on another entertainment talk show last week “Tinatanggap ko ang apology ni Vicki (Belo), and Vicki, if you are watching let’s all move on. It’s also lent, so it’s a time for prayer and forgiveness and Vicki, if you’re watching I forgive you but we all learned a very important lesson here – to be prudent to be more careful to be more cautious when we talk about other people.”

Boy also quickly explained why he got hurt by Dr. Vicki’s statement. “Nasaktan po ako dahil to me, it was an uncalled for, a joke. It was ridicule to me. I wanted Vicki to hear me out that I was in pain, that I was hurt pero in fairness naman to Vicki she sent a text message through a friend at nag-apologize. Sabi niya, “Hi Boy, I’m sorry if I offended you, please accept my apology.” Boy acknowledged Dr. Belo’s effort to reach out to him. “I know Vicki was sincere when she sent that text apology and I am accepting it, Vicki I forgive you,” declared Boy.

What really surprised the King of Talk was the fact that a lot of people, including those he didn’t know, expressed their support to him. Boy recalled that a lady and a couple came up to him while he was at the BaclaranChurch to say that they support him in his battle. “Sa mga taong kilala at di kilala nagpasalamat ako for honoring my pain,” expressed Boy. “I didn’t know how much friends I had until this happened. Totoo ‘yon na napakarami ko talagang kaibigan.” Boy said that he could only be grateful for the unwavering support people showed. “I’m really humbled. Naiisip mo na this world is good, is kind. You know, this is a wonderful world. We just have to take good care of everybody. Nakaka-touch talaga. I’m humbled whenever someone comes to me and says, ‘You have my love and prayers.’ Sa inyong lahat po maraming salamat.”
