Sam Milby wasn’t able to attend the presscon of Only You since he just got back from a successful concert tour of the Heartthrobs in the US with Piolo Pascual, John Lloyd Cruz, Bea Alonzo and Pokwang. ABS-CBN.com bumped into Sam sa ASAP ’09 and he was accommodating enough to answer questions. “Successful ang concert namin doon, lalo na sa New Jersey at sa Illinois, ang daming pinoy talaga.” People also gave positive comments about Sam for being the most accommodating among the artists at siya ang pinagkaguluhan ng fans. Any comment about that? “Ah, yeah? Kasi, whenever people approach me naman for pa-picture or autograph signing, I give it to them. Kaya siguro sinasabi nilang ganoon ako.”

On the other hand, Sam feels excited and thrilled with Only You, dahil ito ang una niyang project na hindi heavy drama. Sabi pa ni Sam, gusto rin daw ng direktor nilang si Rory Quintos that he’d veer away muna from his heavy drama characters, very timely naman ang Only You, magaan at kilig ang dating ng istorya nila ni Angel. Tinanong din ng ABS-CBN.com si Sam kung totoo bang nagkaroon ng ‘ilang factor’ sa pagitan nila ni Angel nu’ng ginagawa nila ang eksenang may kissing scene? Agad namang napangiti si Sam at sinabing hindi siya nailang kay Angel, “It’s just that, unang raw pa lang ‘yun ng taping namin at ‘yun na agad ang kinunang scene. So, parang nakakagulat lang.” Second time na raw niyang maka-trabaho si Angel pero ito ang unang seryeng pagsasamahan nila. Sa Maalaala Mo Kaya sila unang nagkasama ni Angel at magaang naman daw makatrabaho ito.

Samantala, tinanong naman namin si Sam kung kamusta ang puso niya ngayon? Prangkang sinabi ni Papa Sam, wala pa ring kapalit si Anne Curtis sa buhay niya, he’s not even dating anyone at the moment. Is he aware of Anne’s plans that she’s taking a vacation somewhere in Europe? “Oh, yes, I heard about that.” For now, Sam enjoys being unattached. It’s not that takot daw siyang magmahal muli, kaya lang ayaw lang daw muna ni Sam na makipag-relasyon. “No, it’s not that I’m afraid to fall in love again or what. It’s just that I want to enjoy things for now.”
