Sharon Cuneta reveals her bikini photo in BFF |

Megastar Sharon Cuneta has some personal reasons why she considers her latest movie BFF (Best Friends Forever) memorable and why fans should watch out for the movie. First, she is revealing a picture of herself in a bikini and secondly, she is showing off her flab and bulges “in all sides” with pride.
“May makikita kayong [picture ng] babaeng naka-two-piece at siya talaga ‘yon,” declared director Wenn Deramas, referring to Sharon’s picture in a bathing suit, which she has kept hidden all these years. “I’m so excited the whole world will finally see it. At lilinawin ko lang, walang ka-photoshop-photoshop ‘yon,” said the Megastar of the photo.
The Megastar said that the picture had been taken right after she did the movie, Minsan Minahal Kita with Richard Gomez back in 2000. It was husband Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan who took the picture, which she intended to keep it as a private memento. While shooting BFF, Direk Wenn accidentally saw the said photo on Sharon’s laptop which she had used as a screen saver. The director then suggested to have it printed and have a tight shot of it included in the film. Although she initially hesitated, Sharon eventually agreed to have her private photo revealed.
Ironically, Sharon also agreed to be de-glamorized in this movie. Not only did she stand on the doorstep of a moving bus for a scene, she allowed herself to be made fun of because her weight to be more convincing in her role. “Talagang dito, naging taong-grasa ako. Pinakita ko lahat ng bilbil ko nang walang ka-challenge-challenge at walang kahiya-hiya at walang hiya,” she explains with a laugh. “Kasi nakatulong talaga sa role. Parang nagpataba pa nga akong konti. I made fun of myself and I allowed them to make fun of me. Yung parang hindi ako nao-offend. Nakakatawa kami dito talaga,” she reveals.
Having said this, the Megastar revealed she has plans to work on her weight this year. “I want to look the best I’ve ever looked. I want to look my best, [have] the best body this year, and [be] my healthiest this year.” Aside from health reasons, Sharon explained that she wants to be sexier because she is also slated to do two more movies this year. “It's a hard diet, difficult, pero nandun ngayon ‘yung sobrang gana ko [to lose weight]. Ganadong-ganado ako.Nagmamadali akong maabot ‘yung goal ko na weight,” she explained.
She said that she started hitting the gym before doing BFF but had to stop when they started filming. She is scheduled to do a series of concerts abroad for at least three weeks and she plans to resume her weight reduction routine as soon as possible so she can achieve a sexier figure by July in time for her next film.
