Edu Manzano reacts on the Hayden Kho video scandals and his controversial commercial
by Chan Chan Torres | May 23, 2009 12:09 AM |

Sa gitna ng kontrobersiya ng mga kumakalat na sex video ngayon, it’s inevitable na hindi rin tanungin ng mga tao si Optical Media Board Chairman Edu Manzano regarding the case involving Katrina Halili and Dr. Hayden Kho. Because of the rampant sales of this sensitive video on the streets pinuntahan ng ABS-CBN.com si Chairman Edu sa taping nito sa Pilipinas Game KNB? para mabigyan din ng linaw ang tungkol sa isyung ito. People have been asking, how can Chairman Edu and OMB put a stop to this? “ sabi pa ni Chairman Edu sa ABS-CBN.Com addressing the said issue.

Agad tinanong ng ABS-CBN.Com ang butihing Chairman ng OMB, kailangan ba ay may mag-reklamo muna bago nila sampahan ng kaso, despite the fact that it’s obvious na kumakalat ng husto ang nasabing sex video ni Katrina, maging sa internet at sa side streets ng Metro Manila? “Eto, halimabawa, Ice Age. May magsasabing, Ako ang nag-direct niyan, akin ‘yan! ‘Pag pinirata, automatic, kailangan naming sugpuin. Heto kasi (Katrina-Hayden video), sexual in nature. ‘Pag sexual, may batas ‘yan. Article 201, Revise Penal Code.

Other issues that ABS-CBN.Com tackled with Chairman Edu was about his LBC ad. There have been some negative comments about his commercial on TV since it was shown. Ipinapakita sa commercial na ‘yun ang ‘pag-spell ng mga bata sa isang contest using the company’s name. Ito ang parang story board nila. Other people think it was done in bad taste. In fairness, when we saw that ad, it was just like any ad na nappanood natin sa TV. Chairman Edu said, it’s not about him, nagkataon lang na endorser siya ng nasabing kumpanya. The ad was approved by the AD Board and the MTRCB, so he there’s no big fuss about that. “Well, we just can’t please everyone,” says the ever approachable OMB Chairman.
