The Wedding press conference last June 24 revealed much about its lead stars’ wedding ideals but it exposed more about Anne Curtis and Derek Ramsay’s closeness in the past. According to Anne, she met Derek in a game show years ago and he was not even in showbiz during that time. “It was a long time ago, GMA pa ako nun, after Oyo and before Richard, and before I started dating (Luis) Manzano, bagets-bagets pa ko nun.”

Anne said that this chapter in their lives was for just a short time. They only dated for a month. When she was asked why the closeness did not bloom into something serious, she said that there was no other reason except that she just simply felt that they had no chemistry. “You know, you just know kung wala or meron di ba, it was just really hanging out.”

“Cute!” was how Anne described her reaction when she learned that Derek and Angelica are a couple. “Super barkada ko si Angel so okay kami. Sa amin naman hindi na namin pinagusapan, we know naman na it’s super nothing and super tagal na.” Although her mutual understanding with Derek did not work out, Anne still thinks that Derek is husband material. “Yes, yes naman, I see how he is to my friend Angel and yes, I think na he would be a great husband to her.”

During the press conference, Derek mentioned that he, Angel and Anne always go out together and they call themselves ‘awesome threesome’. “Lagi ako sumasama sa kanila ni Angel, lagi ako chumi-chika, nagiging third wheel na nga ako eh.” Anne added.
