Profiles by Cheche Lazaro sat down with the controversial Hayden Kho to showcase the side rarely seen by the public. Profiles browsed through Hayden’s past to learn what could have led him to what is now the biggest scandal of the year. The impact of Hayden’s sex videos was magnified due to the fact that well-known personalities like Katrina Halili and Dr. Vicki Belo are involved.

Hayden’s family and friends are still in disbelief about this chapter in his life, saying that it goes against his religious and conservative upbringing and quiet, introverted nature. His friends he was the good boy in their barkada, the type that would not do mischief and get himself in trouble.

Hayden revealed that some things that have been bothering him for the past few years could have caused him to do what he did. He admitted that he had used drugs at one time and that he was molested when he was just seven years old. “It (drugs) aggravated that kind of behavior, but there’s a deeper cause. Maybe because of a childhood trauma even my parents don’t know about, maybe it’s related to the present situation now.” He said that he is still trying to figure it out until now.

While Hayden is repentantly facing all the repercussions of his actions, he knows that he still has a long way to go. Aside from spiritual healing, he also seeking professional help from psychologist Eppy Gochangco. When he was asked about If his patient had become mentally unstable given the current situation, Gochangco replied, “Sa opinion ko kasi, since psychotherapy na ang ginagawa namin, wala naman.” Gochangco refused to go into details, but mentioned that child molestation can leave a deep scar on a person’s psyche.

Hayden has remained firm on the fact that neither he nor former flame Dr. Belo were the ones who uploaded the videos. “Hindi si Vicki ang nag-upload. Alam mo ito yung theory ko dun eh, yung nakakuha ng videos, hindi nila nilalabas yung kay Vicks dahil pag lumabas yung kay Vicks obviously hindi si Vicks yung naglabas, hindi si Vicky yung nagupload. Hahabulin sila,” Hayden explained.

“I need to learn from this. I need to apply this in my life. I need closure kung makukulong ba ako o hindi ako makukulong, before I can move on. Feeling ko yung ang naging downfall ko because I don’t have anyone to guide me. Contrary to what my parents said, I’m not that close to them, I am close to them but they do not know me. I tried to kill myself. I was strongly suggested to leave the country but I said if I am truly remorseful, then I should take responsibility of the situation and face the consequences of my acts,” Hayden expressed.

As for his detractors, Hayden had this to say: “Kasama sa pagbabago ay ang pag-aalipusta ng mga tao sa akin and I don’t want to blame them. I don’t want to blame anyone anymore.”
