Jay-R Siaboc talks about Geoff Taylor’s renewed showbiz career
by Napoleon Quintos | July 07, 2009 7:37 AM |

Almost three years after the first season of Pinoy Dream Academy, Jay-R Siaboc’s career is still going strong. A mainstay of ASAP ‘09 with a regular acting gig in the afternoon teleserye Kambal sa Uma, Jay-R is very thankful for his showbiz career. “Masaya ako na nandito pa ako. Kailangan ko rin kasi ng hanap buhay, ha ha ha!,” he said laughing.

His other batch mates like Emman Abatayo and Ivan Lambatan haven’t been as lucky, but Jay-R is still willing to help them in any way he can.

Meanwhile, another PDA ex-scholar, Geoff Taylor, has joined another singing contest on another network. After he became the third scholar to be eliminated from PDA, he managed to do a few guest appearances on some ABS-CBN shows. After kasi ng PDA nag-Japan siya for a while kaya nahasa din sa pagpe-perform.”

Jay-R recalled the time when he almost lost his chance at a showbiz career after he and fellow PDA scholars Panky Trinidad, Irish Fullerton, and Chad Peralta were suspended for misbehaving while in the US for a show in 2007.

Since he really wanted to be in showbiz, he owned up to his mistakes and worked hard to get to where he is now. “Pero ginusto ko talagang bumalik. I shall return, ha ha ha! Nung bumalik ako may mga sumusuporta pa sa akin. Gusto kong mag-album uli. Wini-work [out] na namin.
