Gerald Anderson says Kim Chiu has no reason to feel jealous towards his new ‘ladies’ |

Gerald Anderson and the rest of the cast of Agimat Presents Tiagong Akyat finally sat down for a press conference last night, July 30, at the ABS-CBN compound. Since this is his first project without his primetime princess Kim Chiu, many were curious how it feels to be on his own this time around. As it was they’ve been inseparable ever since they entered show business three years ago. “Isang malaking karangalan para sa akin na isa ako sa pinili na gumanap na Tiagong Akyat. Para ito sa individual growth namin ni Kim dahil lahat naman ng projects magkasama kami. Pero hindi ibig sabihin hindi na kami magkakatrabaho ulit. Actually meron silang (ABS-CBN management) niluluto pa lang na project na magkasama kaming dalawa ulit,” he revealed.
It turned out that his new leading ladies would be Erich Gonzales, whom he already worked with in his first teleserye Sana Maulit Muli and Maxene Eigenmann who instantly jived with Gerald because of her refreshing personality “Si Erich yung ka-love triangle namin ni Kim dun ’di ba? So magaan yung working relationship namin ngayon. Masarap siya kasama sa set dahil professional si Erich. With Max hindi pa kaminagtaping na magkasama. Pero kahit na mukhang sosyal masarap kasama yun. Of course naninibago pa ako kasi kumbaga first time ko talaga na hindi si Kim ang ka-kissing scene. Pero kumbaga meron din naman siyang ginagawang ibang project na hindi ako kasama,” he stressed.
Since Kim could trust her good friend Erich not to take Gerald away from him, ABS-CBN.com asked him if she would have reason to feel jealous towards Maxene instead. But apparently, Gerald already assured his number one leading lady about the real deal about his Agimat co-star. “Ah hindi naman! Sinabi ko naman kay Kim na iba din si Maxene, sobrang bait. Kim and Erich are very close to each other, magkaibigan talaga sila so kumbaga mas at ease ako dahil dun.” The young heartthrob was pretty confident though that Kimerald fans would still be supportive of him and Kim in spite of their individual endevours. “Alam ko naman na magre-react sila pero at the same time alam ko din na mahal nila kami ni Kim. They loved us when we’re together pero sana kahit na may sariling projects na kami they’ll support us. I know they will,” he beamed.
A lot of people were also surprised to see Gerald’s muscular build these days and that’s thanks to his rigid physical training both for Tayong Dalawa and Agimat. The teaser for his latest show proved to be a revelation, however, because Gerald was practically flying with the kind of wall-climbing stunts that he did. “Sarap gawin nun kasi nung bata pa lang ako ang sarap panoorin si Jackie Chan at Jet Lee. Sobrang pangarap ko yun noon and in a way nagagawa ko na yung ginagawa nila as Tiagong Akyat.” When asked if he would be having a body double for the other stunts, Gerald was quick to say no. “Actually na-pack up kami ng maaga kaya hindi ko nagawa yung isang stunt kanina. Yung tatalon ako from a two-storey building to a truck. Siyempre ayoko naman magpa-double kasi gusto ko rin gawin e. But so far yung pinakamahirap na ginawa ko yung training namin sa Luneta, yung tinalon ko yung napakalayaong agwat from point A to point B,” he proudly stated.
