Jericho Rosales and Kristine Hermosa are reunited in the upcoming teleserye Dahil May Isang Ikaw. The former real and reel life lovers faced the media for a mini-press conference of the new series where they candidly revealed details of their past relationship. The two were visibly comfortable with each other, something which Jericho beleieved came about because he and Tin have both matured over time. “We’re cool. Resolved na lahat ng kaso sa amin. Sobra ko siyang minahal. Masaya kami nung habang kami. Masasabing kong solid talaga ‘yung naging relasyon namin. No regrets. Happy kami ngayon pareho.”

This reunion project for Echo and Tin had long been overdue. The actor admitted that it took a lot of convincing for him to finally work with Tin after five years. “To be honest ako talaga ‘yung hindi handa nung time na ‘yun. I wanted to try other things sa career ko. The two of us were so identified together. Sa buhay ng isang aktor minsan gugustuhin mo talagang subukan ‘yung ibang landas. Ngayon I think it’s about time na.”

Jericho and Kristine starred in two teleseryes, namely Pangako Sa ‘Yo and Sana’y Wala Nang Wakas. The two eventually fell in love on the set, but problems in their relationship would often affect their work. Now, Jericho is very much okay teaming up again with Kristine. But he confessed that it may be a challenge for him to do a kissing scene with his old flame. “Siguro matatawa kami. Ganun ‘yung nangyari nung ginawa namin ‘yung kissing scene sa MMK (shot last December). Nakailang take ‘yun kasi hindi kami makapag-kiss, natatawa kami. Pero comfortable naman kami sa isa’t-isa so we can guarantee you na lahat ng eksenang gagawin namin e hindi lang bara-bara.”

But more than the onscreen chemistry, most fans are very curious if it is still possible for Jericho and Kristine to fall in love once again. Jericho is still deciding on whether he should remain single at the moment, while Kristine reportedly has a special relationship with Oyo Sotto. Jericho said that if he and Kristine are really meant for each other, it is much better if no one will get hurt in the process. “There’s always a possibility kasi may mga bagay ding hindi mo mapipigilan. Pero laging may choice. Kung papipiliin ako pag-iisipan kong maigi kung dapat bang pagsabayin ang pag-ibig at trabaho. Sa tingin ko hindi ito ‘yung panahon para isipin ang mga ‘balikan’ na ‘yan kasi mas importante ang trabaho. Buong career ko kasi lagi akong may relationship. Ngayon subukan kong magbago naman. Masarap na lang isipin ‘yung mga ganyang bagay pero ayoko namang makasakit ng ibang tao. Kung magkakabalikan kami dapat walang sabit sa aming pareho. Sasarilinin ko na lang siguro kung may maramdaman man akong iba. Ayokong may makaaway. Alam ko dapat ‘yung limitasyon ko.”
