Karylle confirmed to ABS-CBN.com yesterday that she recently went on a movie date with a non-showbiz guy and described him as someone who helps her realize things about life. Karylle admitted that she accidentally blurted out about her date in a press conference that took place earlier that day.
The singer-actress explained that the media's constant query on her past relationship with actor Dingdong Dantes had her constantly asking herself if she indeed has gotten over him. "I'd like to think yes. But sometimes you find yourself in a spot na, "wait how come this part still seems like it still needs to be fixed." Di ba?" she shared. "Parang meron pang hindi ka pa na-resolve. I think everything is pretty much fixed by now, but kumbaga may konti lang na hindi ka nawalis dun."
She feels that the guy she is seeing now is helping her "fix" this part. "This person, feeling ko, hine-help out lang niya akong i-figure out certain things that I still have to resolve." She declined to explain further, and simply explained that "there is nothing to share right now." She said that her current concern is to continue to learn more about herself.
Speaking of learning, Zsa Zsa Padilla's daughter said that she is grateful for the opportunities ABS-CBN has given her to hone her acting skills. "I've learned a lot because I constantly have been training, doing a lot of workshops," she explained. "Talagang naramdaman ko how serious they (ABS-CBN) are about drama shows and how much a part of yourself you really have to give not (just) in terms of professionalism but how much of yourself you wanna share." Karylle also explained that the workshops were helpful in improving her personal life too. She realized that she has been too protective of her image and this has hindered her from growing. "I've learned to let go and not to be so uptight," she expressed. Nowadays, she shared that she has learned to let go of being too conscious of her public image. "You know, people have a general idea of who I am and I don't need to be too careful or too afraid of people misinterpreting me because feeling ko naman kahit papano na-gets na nila kung ano ba talaga ako," she explained. "They will know who you are deep down inside."
Karylle revealed the recent changes in her life have helped her to "loosen up" a bit and improved her relationship with other people. "I used to be the type na I don't wanna share anything to people about myself, personally. But I think after everything that happened last year, parang feeling ko people found a way to connect with me or relate. In the beginning, feeling ko nai-invade ang privacy ko tapos hanggang sa maramdaman ko na sincere sila at saka they just genuinely have concern for you. After that naramdaman ko na why not share a part of you in this business? After all, I'm part of the business nga naman. Kailangan matanggap ko na."
