Jason Abalos is not envious about Gerald Anderson and Jake Cuenca’s success

Jason Abalos is gearing up for his biggest project so far as he top-bills the upcoming teleserye Nagsimula sa Puso. As early as now, many are saying that this drama series will be Jason’s time to shine as one of the best young actors of today. ABS-CBN.com spoke with Jason during the ABS-CBN Trade Launch last August 13 at the NBC Tent where Nagsimula sa Puso was unveiled. He said that he is thankful that after five years in showbiz he has been finally given the chance to play the lead on TV.

At the moment, fellow Star Magic artists Jake Cuenca and Gerald Anderson are being called “Princes of Primetime TV” for their performances in the top-rating drama Tayong Dalawa, which led to even more projects for them. Jason told ABS-CBN.com that he never felt envious of Jake and Gerald’s success.

Jason proved his top-notch acting skills when he won the Gawad Urian Best Actor trophy for his performance in the movie Endo. Although he already has an acting award under his belt, the 23-year-old actor said there is no need to compete with Jake, Gerald, or any other actor.

In fact, Jason agreed to play villain opposite Gerald in Agimat: Ang mga Alamat ni Ramon Revilla Sr. presents Tiagong Akyat. Jason further commended Gerald for seriously improving his craft.
