Now that a new season of Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) has begun, viewers are already wondering who among the Kapamilya celebrities will become a houseguest following the likes of Mariel Rodriguez, Toni Gonzaga, and Luis Manzano among others. During a recent interview with ABS-CBN.com, Jake Cuenca admitted that not only is he willing to visit the PBB house, but that he almost became a celebrity housemate as well. “I was actually invited right before I did Palos. I think that was the batch of Baron Geisler, Jon Avila, Victor Basa, and Will Devaughn. I was going to do it kasi I wanted to experience PBB,” he recalled.

Unfortunately, he had to choose between joining PBB and a starring role in Palos. “Alam mo naman ako sobrang love ko ang acting. At the same time, that was my first time na magbida sa kahit anong programa. That was a big break for me. So I chose Palos. Pero yung challenge na makasama sa PBB, I’m all for that kasi I love challenges e.” As a self-confessed fan of the show, the dashing actor claimed that he wouldn’t mind entering the PBB house as long as his schedule would allow him to do so. “Nothing has changed. I’m still up for it. Tuwing nanonood ako ng PBB sobrang interested talaga ako sa mga activities nila sa loob. But right now siyempre with the roles that I am portraying, ayokong iwan ang mga responsibilidad ko. Gusto ko ipagpatuloy ang nasimulan ko sa Tayong Dalawa,” he explained.

If there’s one person he could choose to bring with him inside the house, it would be his former Tayong Dalawa co-star Coco Martin who became one of his closest friends. “Siguro si Coco para tingnan namin kung anong klaseng kabalastugan ang gagawin namin dun,” he added with a laugh.
