Kim Chiu insists that Gerald Anderson is not yet her boyfriend |

Kim Chiu was one of the stars who took part in the very successful Magic For A Cause, the Star Magic charity fashion show at the ABS-CBN compound last October 11. In between costume changes, ABS-CBN.com got the chance to talk to Kim who wore a Bench ensemble by Noel Manapat and then an Inno Sotto gown for her final walk. “Masaya ako dahil at least makakatulong ako sa mga nasalanta ng bagyo. Excited din ako dahil minsan lang ako nakakasama sa mga fashion show na tulad nito kasi nga lagi akong busy sa soap,” she began.
The young actress also pledged a large sum to Sagip Kapamilya which she preferred not to disclose. “Naku, naku ‘wag na nating ipaalam sa kanila, basta may itinulong ako. Siyempre may kasabihan nga sila na share your blessings. Hindi naman problema kung gaano kalaki yung binigay mo dahil babalik naman sa ’yo yun,” she beamed.
Aside from her nonstop projects at the Kapamilya network, showbiz insiders say that the reason Kim is noticeably happy these days is because of her long-time onscreen partner Gerald Anderson. It seems that they are finally past the “mutual understanding” stage since they have often been seen together at social functions like the Star Magic ball, Tayong Dalawa’s farewell party and at the recently-concluded fashion show. “Nung huling cast party ng Tayong Dalawa ano, magkatabi lang naman kami, nasa gilid ko siya nakaupo. Actually masaya naman kaming lahat nun, nasobrahan nga sa saya e,” she recalled.
Kim also denied the rumors that Gerald is already her boyfriend. “Naku may ganon ba? Nakakatakot naman! Hindi naman. Siguro gusto lang namin ang isa’t isa pero ayoko lang na maging officially kami. Hindi naman namin nira-rush yung mga bagay-bagay. Pero I’m sure darating yung tamang panahon na pwede na kaming magkaroon ng seryosong relasyon.”
Nevertheless, she admitted that they have gotten closer than ever because of Tayong Dalawa. “Sa ngayon hindi kami palagi nagkikita dahil hindi pa nagsisimula yung shoot ng movie namin. Nitong mga nakaraang buwan kasi hindi kami masyado nagkasama dahil medyo iba yung sched ko sa sched niya. Busy siya sa Tiagong Akyat tapos ako may movie kasama si Angelica Panganiban. So siguro kapag nagsimula kaming magtrabaho ulit mas may time na kaming makapag-bonding,” she simply stated.
