Bea Alonzo admitted that she feels nervous about her reunion movie with John Lloyd Cruz even if they have been onscreen partners for many years. “Kinakabahan kasi si John Lloyd andami nang nagawa. Napatunayan na niya ang sarili niya at ang galing-galing niya so nakakakaba sa part ko kasi nga ibig sabihin kailangan ko talagang mag-work ng mas matindi kasi siya ‘yung kasama ko.” Bea clarified though that she is looking forward to working on a movie again with the actor, whom she last worked with in 2007’s One More Chance. “Sobrang natutuwa ako. ‘Yun lang ‘yung words sa utak ko ngayon dahil talagang excited ako.”
She also revealed that the movie has a more mature theme. “Pero not in a sense na daring. Kasi minsan ‘pag sinabing mature merong ilalabas na flesh. Hindi naman ganun ang ibig sabihin ng mature movie. It can be emotionally mature so ganun. I think nagpo-fall siya sa ganung category.” Bea added that the story will involve a love triangle, and for a change, it will be Lloydy’s character who will be involved with two women, to be played by Bea and Maricar Reyes. “First time kasi usually baligtad [‘yung girl ang involved with two men], like ‘yung love triangle ko sa And I Love You So, with Derek Ramsay and Sam Milby,” Bea explained. She shared that they were briefed about the plot in a story conference. “First week of November baka mag-roll na kami,” she said.
Bea is also thankful that even after many years her team-up with Lloydy still has a big following. “Nakakatuwang isipin kasi ilang years na talaga na magkasama kami. Parang minsan lang nangyayari sa showbiz na may ganito, di ba? Ang sarap isipin na parang, ‘Wow ang suwerte nating dalawa.’ Talagang hanggang ngayon pinagkakatiwalaan pa rin kami at pinanonood pa rin kami ng mga fans.”
She also considers it an achievement that their team-up has kept its magic through the years and said that she herself could not single out what makes their love team click. “Ewan ko. Siguro ‘yung mystery ng love team or siguro we both love our work. Siguro nagbe-blend well together ‘pag magkasama kami. Alam mo ‘yon, hindi lang kami nagsa-stop dun sa, ‘Okay na ‘yan, good na.’ Kailangan mas bongga pa do’n. Parang kailangan hindi tayo titigil hangga’t hindi natin naabot ‘yung almost perfect,” Bea explained.
