Kapamilya stars admire Angel Locsin’s nonstop charity work |

With the help of Anne Curtis, Kris Aquino, and Dimples Romana, Angel Locsin was able to get support from fellow celebrities to raise funds for the typhoon victims via an online auction known as Shop and Share. Kim Chiu even recounted to ABS-CBN.com the first time she learned about this project. “May nagtext sa akin na unknown number. Akala ko kung sino. Tapos sabi niya si Anne daw siya. So tinawagan ko, sabi ko, ‘Hello, ikaw ba talaga si Anne?’ Oo daw, tapos inexplain niya na magpapa-auction nga daw sila sa internet tapos yung proceeds mapupunta sa Red Cross. So sabi ko, ‘O sige game ako,” she began.
Aside from three outfits she used in the hit teleserye Tayong Dalawa, Kim also donated one of her favorite designer bags. “Yung pangalawang Louis Vuitton bag na binili ko sa buong buhay ko. Oo, mami-miss ko yun. May message pa nga ako dun. Sabi ko, ‘Sa makakabili nito, alagaan niyo itong bag ha.’ Pumikit ako nung binili ko ito, pero ngayon ibibigay ko na siya.” But she knows that it was worth giving the bag away for a good cause. “Siyempre masarap yung feeling na patuloy kang nakakatulong sa ganitong paraan. Sana talaga malaking halaga yung malikom nila sa mga items na yun,” she added.
On the other hand, Valerie Concepcion shared that she was inviting Angel to her daughter’s birthday party when the latter asked her to join the auction. “Magbibigay ako ng dresses at saka shoes. Hindi na ako nagugulat kasi knowing Angel, she's really a kind person, likas na maawain siya sa mga tao, and I’m glad to have known someone as good as her. Kumbaga nung nag-uumpisa pa lang kami sa industriya ganon na siya, tapos ngayon na star na siya, hindi pa rin siya nagbabago. So I’m so proud of you Mare. I love you Angel,” she exclaimed.
As for Angelica Panganiban, she has yet to decide what items she will donate to Shop and Share. Nevertheless, the upcoming bida-kontrabida of ABS-CBN’s Rubi is really honored to be a part of Angel’s pet project. “Halos wala kasi ako palagi sa bahay dahil busy ako sa mga taping so hindi ko pa nachecheck yung closet ko. Actually, nakakatuwa kasi hindi mo akalain na sa mga edad naming ito, kung kumilos kami akala mo matatanda na kami. Parang ang dami naming gustong patunayan na kaya naming tumulong at magpasaya ng tao sa iba’t ibang paraan. Nakakainspire at nakakainggit na sana may ganon kang abilidad para gawin yun.”
Shaina Magdayao also commended Angel for her determination to do everything she can to continue helping those in need during times of crisis. “Actually nagbibigay naman siya ng options. It doesn’t have to be designer items. Basta memorable sa ’yo at may sentimental value pwede mong ibigay. Siyempre nakakatuwa na kasama mo sa industriya yung mga gumagawa nun. And lahat naman ay very willing to help her and the typhoon victims. Si Angel, nakita naman natin kung gaano siya kahands-on sa pagtulong. And I can personally attest to the fact na kumikilos talaga siya, hindi lang puro pangako at salita,” she stressed.
