Ryan Agoncillo on Judy Ann Santos getting pregnant: ‘Bigla na lang mangyayari ‘pag wala ng nagtatanong’

“Multinetwork star,” biro namin kay Ryan Agoncillo na ikinangiti nito. To date, Ryan is the only celebrity with ongoing shows on three networks. Outside of his profession, it’s easy to see that Ryan is the picture of wedded bliss. Nagpakasal sila ng misis na niyang si Judy Ann Santos last April in Batangas.

“More than the romance, the friendship is evolving,” ani Ryan. “I thought ‘yung pagpe-prepare namin ng wedding ‘yun na ang test ng friendship, and we passed. Now, [we’re] building a nest. Nasa building stage pa kami. Nasa tanungan pa kami kung pa’no gawin ang budget, pa’no gawin sa school, kung sino ang magtuturo sa anak namin (Yohann), mga gano’n

Like the traditional husband and wife sa Pinoy setting, Judai is in charge of the household budget. “Ang role ko taga-tango,” kuwento pa ng TV host-actor. “As the man of the house, I believe in having the last say. I always have the last say in whatever decision, and it’s always, ‘Yes, dear,’” Ryan joked. “Walang under-an,” paglilinaw ni Ryan. “Very traditional ang roles kasi nga parang kami, we’re in an industry na tradition is almost frowned upon. So just to have a working center kasi kahit naman sa pagba-budget, si Judai ang may hawak ng libro at siya ang nagba-budget, still (in some instances) halimbawa this weekend wala siya kasi nagte-taping. [She’d say,] ‘Sweetheart, ikaw na muna ang bahala na mag-issue ng mga tseked’yan.’ Gano’n. Halimbawa ako, traditionally ako dapat ang nagpapaayos ng mga bombi-bombilya pero hindi rin. Ako ang tatawag ng tubero, mga gano’n. Pero ang mahilig mag-shopping ng mga bombilya at lababo, si Judai. We just want to start off from a traditional point para lang may sentro. From there, wala na, wild na.”

Malapit nang matapos ang kanilang dream house in Alabang (although they live there now) pero ang speculations tungkol sa kanilang magiging unang supling ay wala pang makapagsasabi. “Alam mo, ilang taon bang tinanong ang wedding? Three years? Bigla na lang nangyari kasi wala nang nagtanong. Maybe gano’n din [on having our kids].”  The Agoncillos will be spending their first Christmas sa kanilang bagong Alabang home. “Pero napag-usapan na si Mommy Carol (Judai’s mom) and my parents pupunta rin dun for Noche Buena.”
