Yeng Constantino says she wants an old-fashioned courtship
by Rachelle Siazon | November 07, 2009 2:27 AM |

Once again, Yeng Constantino corrected the misconception that she’s a lesbian just because she doesn’t dress up the way typical girls do to attract guys. Siguro kailangan nating ibreak yun. Siguro iba lang ako dahil iba yung kinalakihan kong lugar tapos yung mga friends ko puro lalake, ako lang babae sa banda namin,” Yeng said during her album launch last November 4.

The pretty rocker also explained that the reason why she still doesn’t have a boyfriend is that she really believes in traditional courtship which, unfortunately, is a rare thing nowadays. Kasi mentras mahirap abutin yung puno, masarap yun kainin. In a way dun mo mapapatunayan kung aalagaan ka talaga niya. Values yun e, ganon ako e: conservative pero rock,” she exclaimed.

She also doesn’t want to be like other female artists who get careless when they’re in a relationship and end up getting pregnant outside marriage.

Actor/model Carlo Guevara was once rumored to be courting her but Yeng revealed that she wasn’t yet ready for a relationship at that time.

So yun, hindi naging kami,” she recalled.

Yeng has a new admirer these days, but she is still not ready to reveal his name except that he’s a singer/songwriter for a band.

It’s been two months since they met at a gig but she kind of liked how he really went out of his way to befriend her. So kailangan din mabigyan ng time.
