2010 is in fact a year of love for actress Angel Locsin. Yesterday (January 3), she tells The Buzz about CNN Hero Efren Peñaflorida’s formal declaration of his intention to court her; and following the elaborate description of the said event, she also bravely utters her immediate response regarding the matter. Apparently, up until this moment, the young lady still opts to keep her heart closed for prospected suitors, most especially now that she and former boyfriend Luis Manzano are somehow going back on track. She instantly explains, “Ayaw ko munang ma-in love—lalo pa ngayon nagsta-start ulit kami mag-usap ni Luis. Ayaw ko naman kasing magpaasa, yung nakikipag-date ng sabay-sabay.”

In a separate interview, Efren humbly speaks of his respect for Angel’s decision. Firmly he states that if he was able to wait for this chance of a lifetime for almost 5 years, then setting it back a few more will not be of any harm. But personally speaking, he does hope that Angel could actually be the one true love he had been waiting for all his life; and if she does turn out to be the said person he had been looking for, he says “Kung dumating man po sa point ng courtship, then yung marriage, mamahalin ko talaga siya ng sobra.”
