Pilipinas Got Talent finally has all of its judges in place now that Ai-Ai de las Alas has been named a judge. Ai-Ai joins Queen of All Media Kris Aquino and former ABS-CBN President Freddie M. Garcia (or simply FMG) on the panel. The Concert Comedy Queen attended show’s promo shoot last Wednesday, January 14, where she expressed how overwhelmed she was when she learned that Sharon Cuneta and Piolo Pascual were reportedly being considered for that same slot. “Siyempre na-surprise ako dahil pinipili pala ito. And thankful ako kay God kasi maganda ang pasok ng 2010, meron ako agad [project], super work so bongga,” she happily exclaimed in an exclusive interview with ABS-CBN reporters. Manager Boy Abunda was the one who first told her the good news. “Nalaman ko lang four or five days ago. Tinawagan ako ni ama siyempre, si Mr. Boy Abunda, ‘O meron kang show, eto ang details, ganyan ganyan.’ Sabi ko, ‘Okay fine, thank you ama. I love you.’ Happy naman ako,” she excitedly shared.
She already has an idea on what kind of judge she will be on this much-awaited reality show. Aside from bringing comic relief, she plans to be a little intimidating while interacting with the contestants. “Ano ako rito, nakakatawa, na may laman, tsaka konting maldi, konti lang, very, very light naman Excited na ako magsimula kasi talented ang mga Pinoy at iba’t ibang talent ang makikita ko dito. May pangit, may maganda, may walang kwenta. Hahaha! Yung parang, ‘Talent ba ‘yan?’ Hindi naman sa ookrayan ko sila pero dapat may substance yung sasabihin ko.” When asked if she’s ready for possible clashes with the two other judges over a contestant, she claimed that she wouldn’t dare contradict FMG for that matter. “Ready ako kay friendship (referring to Kris) kasi friendship ko naman siya. Kay FMG, parang hindi, takot ako sa kanya kaya siya na lang mag-leader!”
Even though Pilipinas Got Talent will keep her busy with all the auditions that they would be holding around the country, Ai-Ai is determined to make the most out of her experience as a judge. “Ok lang [ma-haggard ang beauty] siyempre ‘pag work ganon talaga, may mga sacrifice. And masaya naman ako kasi gusto ko yung work at magandang opportunity ang makasama sa Pilipinas Got Talent kasi all over the world ‘to e, pang 86th country tayo [na may franchise]. At makakatrabaho ko si friendship at FMG kaya super bonding kami,” she stated.
Catch the whole troop of Pilipinas Got Talent on their first leg of auditions this coming January 21 to 23 in Cebu.
