Andi Eigenmann gets her big break as she headlines the upcoming ABS-CBN teleserye Agua Bendita. Much of the details of this new drama are still being kept under wraps, but as can be expected, Andi’s mother Jaclyn Jose is very much happy about her daughter’s career. In an interview with ABS-CBN.com, Jaclyn shared that Andi really wants to explore the world of showbiz. “Gusto niyang i-try. She likes to try everything, dancing, acting, hosting, modeling.
Ever since she started in showbiz in the mid-‘80s, Jaclyn managed to make herself into one of the much-acclaimed actresses in the industry. Seeing her daughter about to make her first major step in showbiz, Jaclyn shared some of the important advice she gave Andi. “I always tell her not to aim for fame and fortune but aim for passion. I never aimed to be a superstar or a millionaire. Still I was able to get recognition not just here but also from abroad. Bonus na lang ‘yun. Nakikita rin niya sa akin ‘yung discipline. She’s never late. Walang attitude problem. Give your best in every little thing you do.”
The teaser trailer of Agua Bendita shows 18-year-old Andi as a beautiful and sexy young lady, and it won’t be a surprise if boys will line up to court her. But Jaclyn revealed that her daughter seems to have no interest in having a love life right now. She’s very smart and articulate. She told me na kapag hindi niya like ‘yung guy sasabihin niya agad. Like me, when I was in high school I had 12 suitors. I want her to experience love because it’s inspiring. I want someone to help me love her. I was 27 when I got pregnant so na-enjoy ko ang single life ko.”
While Andi prepares for her big role in Agua Bendita, Jaclyn is busy with her kontrabida role in Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo where one of her co-stars is Maxene Eigenmann, the half-sister of Andi. Maxene and Andi are both daughters of veteran actor Mark Gil. Jaclyn said she keeps a peaceful relationship with the other children of her ex-boyfriend Mark. I love them and they all love me up to now. Pumupunta pa sila sa bahay minsan.”
