Enchong Dee reveals he is inspired to do well by John Lloyd Cruz |

With a high-rating soap plus two movies with Star Cinema lined-up for this year, Enchong Dee says he is up to the challenge of becoming one of show biz’s in demand leading men. He still considers himself a newbie, drawing inspiration from the young premiere actors who already built good names for themselves like John Lloyd Cruz. “I always look up to Kuya John Lloyd Cruz kasi siya kapag work, talagang work, he’s very serious. Kami nga sa Gigger Boys nag-uusap kami na eventually we really have to make our own path, siguro we can look up to successful actors, we can be inspired by his work pero at the end of the day you really have to do it your own.”
Having said that, Enchong shares that he has already built a strong friendship with his fellow Gigger Boys and leaving them for good is still not part of his plans. “Barkada kami, e, so siguro naman kahit busy (magkaka-work pa rin kami). Ngayon naman busy na pero nagkikita pa rin naman kami every Sunday.”
On the other hand, Enchong says that his detractors’ comments about him helped him assessing his work and weaknesses. “Salamat sa kanila kasi sila yung nagcri-criticize sa akin sila yung pinaghugutan ko na mas maging mabuti and prove myself na kaya ko rin kasi nga mahirap talaga itong industriyang ito pero salamat sa Diyos kasi naka-surpass ako.” However, he draws strength from his loyal supporters and he said that he will protect the trust that they have given him. “Love ko sila (fans and supporters). Siguro kung ano yung nakikita nila dati ganun pa rin naman kasi ngayon. Ganun talaga siguro kapag pinaramdam mo sa kanila na importante sila sa’yo talagang mamahalin ka rin nila.”
