Ruffa Gutierrez finally confirmed that she is leaving ABS-CBN after she signing a three-year non-exclusive contract with TV5. Her last appearance on The Buzz will be on March 14. In her contract with TV5, she is set to do a talk show, a drama anthology, and a talent search. Ruffa was very emotional in her exclusive interview with Mario Dumaual for TV Patrol World as she bid ABS-CBN goodbye. She also expressed her deep gratitude to the Kapamilya network over her Twitter account.

“For growth and expansion. I had to make the most difficult decision of my life. To stay or spread my wings. Was confused, emotional. It took time. From the bottom of my heart I would like to thank ABS-CBN for allowing me to shine in my three years as a Kapamilya. I will forever be grateful that they gave me the opportunity to stage a successful comeback when I left Istanbul in February 2007 (when she walked away from her marriage with Turkish business tycoon Ylmaz Bektas to escape domestic violence). It was the lowest time for me in my personal life but a start of a new chapter as well. The industry is small... who knows what tomorrow brings. One thing is for certain. I will miss being a Kapamilya!”

Ruffa confessed that she might not be able to contain herself when appears for the last time on The Buzz. The beauty queen-actress-host also shared in her Twitter account the touching message her The Buzz co-host and good friend Kris Aquino sent her. “You've been really consistently nice to me. Heard you are leaving. Wishing you only the best!”

In her three years as a Kapamilya, Ruffa was seen in the teleseryes Kokey and I Love Betty La Fea and in the morning talk show Ruffa and Ai opposite Concert Comedy Queen Ai-Ai de las Alas.

Ruffa also said over her Twitter account, “To all the TFC subscribers who will miss me, don't be sad! It won't be for long. You will see me again one day soon. Believe and trust me.” Her daughters, Lorin and Venice, will remain under the management of Star Magic as they become mainstays in the kiddie gag show Goin’ Bulilit.
