Kris Aquino to Ruffa Gutierrez: 'Sana manatili kaming magkaibigan' |

With Ruffa Gutierrez’ controversial walkout issue on The Buzz yesterday bombarding today’s headlines, Kris Aquino once and for all stands up to publicly make amends. Aside from releasing an official statement yesterday, Kris also braved an interview with Showbiz News Ngayon to humbly extend her sincerest apology for Ruffa and her whole family in line with whatever trouble her supposed friendly banter with her had caused them. She made it clear that she didn’t intend to hurt Ruffa’s feelings in anyway. In fact, she even said that she actually delivered her piece with much affection to simply express how much she would miss Ruffa now that she has to move to another television network.
As for Anabelle Rama’s rather harsh comments immediately after the incident on the other hand, Kris admitted that she was truly hurt; but she had opted to be as understanding as possible regarding the matter. She said that she simply couldn’t take away Anabelle’s right to stand by her daughter Ruffa’s defense, so she might as well let the spur-of-the-moment-rage pass rather than make a bigger deal out of it. But given the rather loaded allegations she had bestowed not only on her, but on her family as a whole, Kris basically wanted to make one thing clear: “Tita Anabelle sana maintindihan mo rin na bilang kapatid naman [ni Noynoy Aquino] e nasaktan din po kami na nadamay pati kapatid ko na walang kinalaman sa pangyayari.”
After this misunderstanding, Kris expressed that she is still hoping for the best. Given the essential history between her and Ruffa, she said that she does look forward to settle whatever conflict this unfortunate event had brought them. Straightforwardly she uttered, “Twenty-three years na kaming magkakilala [ni Ruffa] at sa tinagal-tagal naman ‘non at sa hinaba-haba ng pagsasama namin gusto ko sabihin sa kanya na sana manatili kaming magkabigan.”
