There’s no stopping Pinoy Big Brother Double Up ex-housemates Melai Cantiveros and Jason Francisco from being the hottest love team of the masses. Reality TV’s wacky yet romantic couple had fun together with the PBB staff and crew last Sunday night at a videoke place but unknown to the two, the celebration was also meant as a thanksgiving to the high ratings of Melason In Love, the morning ‘realiserye’ that documents Jason and Melai’s romance here in the outside world.
Also present at the party were Melai’s best friend Rica Paras, fellow Big Five Johan Santos, and ex-housemate Riza Patria who disproved rumors that she is envious over Melai’s popularity. Melai and Patria were known in the PBB for their loud and funny personalities, but Patria clarified that there’s no reason for a rivalry to arise between them.
Melai and Jason were fortunate enough that for the special night, they got to wear clothes, shoes, and accessories that were gifts from Sam Milby and Maja Salvador. The Melason love team will have their acting debut via the upcoming teleserye Impostor top-billed by Sam and Maja.
In an interview, Melai and Jason thanked all those who continuously support them. They mentioned some ‘Melason’ fanatics from abroad who send over chocolates and other gifts like clothes and perfume. To prove this said gratitude, PBB Business Unit Head Lauren Dyogi asked Jason to do a song number. The Third Big Placer was shy to hold the mic, so Direk Lauren joked that Jason should start practicing now so that he’ll be ready once his major concert has been planned.
Jason and Melai just hit their first ‘monthsary’ as a couple. They requested for a private moment in a resort somewhere but they later realized that such would be impossible since they have numerous commitments to fulfill in the coming weeks.
On the other hand, Jason further expressed his apology to the mayor of his town in Mindoro. Due to his busy schedule, he won’t be able to go to Mindoro and grace the homecoming party that is being planned for him.
Melai and Jason have started taping for Impostor, and two shared their nerve-wracking experience on the production set when it took them 16 takes to perfect their first scene. They thanked the director and all the production team for bearing with them as newbie actors.
