Jake Cuenca on his role as Elias Paniki: 'I've been hungry for this project' |

Jake Cuenca and Sam Pinto enjoyed their first pictorial together for Agimat: Ang Mga Alamat in Ramon Revilla Presents Elias Paniki, the fourth and last installment of the said series. During the pictorial, Jake said he felt a good chemistry between him and Sam.
Since they will be working closely together, ABS-CBN.com asked Jake if there’s a chance that they will rekindle their romance. "Well, that we'll have to see. We haven't started taping yet pero me and Sam naman we've always been friends. It’s a pleasure doing another project with another leading lady and lucky ako that Sam whom I will be working with is a good friend of mine. Mas madali yung working environment. Kung baga sa acting ko lang naman kakapain si Sam, but as a person I already know her and she knows me, it will be very comfortable working environment."
Jake said that Elias Paniki is an exciting and challenging role, a dream that came true for him. "It's a dark story, romance, at the same time action. And siyempre my leading lady here is Sam kaya dapat abangan ng mga tao. Matagal ko nang gusto gumawa ng alamat na ginawa ni Ramon Revilla. It is a dream for me to remake one of his big movies. I just really take pride in this na dala ko ang responsibilidad ng pangalan na Elias Paniki so dapat ko talaga alagaan para mabigyang hustisya itong show na ito."
Jake admitted that he feels pressured since the previous installments were ratings winners. "Sobrang successful nung past episodes so I am hoping na sana makaabot ako sa standards na nasimulan ni Gerald (Anderson), Coco (Martin), and Jolo (Revilla). I have to be as successful as them. I am actually nervous kasi coming in last in this first season, pero basta I'm just going to go sa set and do my best kasi kami nila Gerald, dati hindi talaga namin alam who's going to go first sa series na ito. Every time may matatapos na isa, nakaabang lang kaming mga susunod. I've been hungry for this project. I've been longing to do this role. I've been longing to tape it. So I am really excited now.”
