Sam Pinto says she and Jake Cuenca will remain as ‘just friends’ |

Pinoy Big Brother Double Up alum Sam Pinto is excited about her TV project, Agimat: Ang Alamat ni Ramon Revilla Presents Elias Paniki, where she is paired up with Jake Cuenca whom she used to date during her pre-PBB days. "It was fun, I think it is kind of Twilight-ish (referring to the popular film about vampires). Although I am not so familiar with my role yet kasi I learned about it two days ago lang, pero I feel that it would be really exciting."
She added that already had a hint that she got the role because Jake had been teasing her about it. "My first reaction was, 'Wow, naging totoo nga.’ Actually kasi before pa sinasabi sa akin na we will be working together eh naisip ko baka siya lang ang nagsasabi sa akin so hindi ako naniniwala and then here it is, so I am happy."
Sam admitted that while working with Jake would draw them closer, they will definitely stay as "just friends" only. "I think it is a good thing na maka-work si Jake kasi mas comfortable na. For me kasi now there's really nothing naman. As in none, promise. Siguro kasi I am happy with my life now being single and having fun talaga so I am really not ready to be in a relationship. And because I know that he is happy with his life din and I think he has a special someone. I don't know if it is true, that's what they say. This is all purely professional work." Meanwhile, Sam shared some of her experiences taping for Your Song Presents: Isla. "It was super fun spending time with the housemates. Light lang din. Nababawasan yung pressure kasi we are all new kaya ‘pag nagkamali tawa lang."
She is also nervous as well as excited about her intense scenes with Gerald Anderson. "Gerald Anderson is really supportive. He nudges me every time we need to give our best in our scene. Kasi medyo heavy yung mga scenes namin, emotional. Nahihiya nga ako kasi Gerald yun. He's been here sa showbiz for five years now, and ako, hello, such a newbie. I am really nervous this coming Sunday, first episode ng Your Song, I don't know how people will react kasi."
