Enchong Dee will be part of the cast of Sa ’yo Lamang, which is slated to be a follow-up to director Laurice Guillen’s award-winning movie Tanging Yaman. The young actor can’t wait to start working with Christopher de Leon who will play his father in the story. “I just realized na there's a lot of changes, a lot of additions but no subtractions. Change for the better naman nangyari. Actually ang tagal ko ng gusto siyang (Christopher) makatrabaho. Akala ko nun sa Tanging Yaman (TV series) siya ang magiging father ko. So siguro destiny is looking for the right time talaga. Baka dito mas makita yung dynamics namin so just to be part of this project is a huge blessing talaga,” he said after the story conference last Friday, April 16.

Enchong will be playing the role of James who is close to his mom (Lorna Tolentino) because he sees the sacrifices she has to make in order to keep their family intact. He’s also set to be paired with Erich Gonzales in this film again. “Based sa story con namin, parang kaming dalawa lang ni Erich yung may love angle talaga kasi si Bea more of not wanting to be with someone yung almost na mapapasukan niyang relationship so wala talaga siyang steady love interest. Kami lang talaga ni Erich yung magsho-showcase sa audience na this is how it works for a couple na may mga family problem. Si Coco (Martin) naman yung mas ka-vibes ng dad namin,” he explained.

Enchong’s co-star-be Lorna Tolentino was also present at the story conference so ABS-CBN.com asked the young actor what he thought of the veteran star. “Kinakabahan ako kasi hindi pa siya nag-smile. Pero siyempre excited akong makita kung paano kami as a group. Whenever I’m doing an acting project, ang goal ko kasi is to have a good relationship with the cast so that when the project ends, when we see each other we’ll remain close to each other. Tsaka word of mouth yun e, na parang, ‘Uy nakatrabaho ko si ganito’, tapos sasabihin, ‘Ay matakaw ‘yan.’ For me, ang saya ng ganon.”
