Kim Chiu to Kris Aquino’s detractors: ‘Magaling si Ms. Kris’ |

Kim Chiu revealed that Kris Aquino is expected to take a two-week leave from their primetime teleserye, Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo, to help brother, Sen. Noynoy Aquino, on his presidential campaign. Since Kris is very fond of Kim, the drama princess said that she is sure to miss the Queen of All Media on their taping days. “Siyempre nakakalungkot kasi si Ms. Kris ‘yung ka-chikahan ko, kakwentuhan namin [sa set], ‘yun ‘yung bonding namin,” Kim explained. “Ang saya-saya lang sa set ang jolly-jolly niya. Ngayon sa set [at] sa taping wala siya, nakakapanibago.”
Kim was also quick to defend Kris from detractors, who have criticized Kris for her performance in Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo. “Hindi naman totoo ‘yun. Saka kung hindi siya nakakatulong sa acting, sana hindi na napapanood ng mga tao. Mali naman kasi ‘yun. Magaling naman si Ms. Kris,” defended Kim.
Asked about the status of her relationship with perennial leading man Gerald Anderson, Kim responded, “Okay naman kami. Trabaho, taping.” Kim said that she is aware of the rumors that she and Gerald allegedly secretly broke up. “May nabasa akong ganun, parang hello, bakit? Wala nga masyadong free day [to bond, much more to become romantic]. Ewan ko kung bakit may ganyan.”
Kim also revealed that she and Sam Pinto—who had admitted that she has a crush on Gerald—sometimes meet during ASAP XV and sometimes exchange pleasantries. “Okay naman siya. Nagkikita kami sa ASAP, nagkakasalubong, hi-hello lang,” she said about Sam.
Kim said that there is no reason why she and Gerald should discuss the Sam-Gerald issue because there is no truth to it. However, she said that if Gerald would come to her one day and tell her that he likes Sam, Kim would respect his decision. “Choice naman ni Gerald ‘yun. Kung saan siya masaya, okay lang,” she said.
Kim stressed that she and Gerald are not still a couple and have mutually agreed to focus on enjoying their life and work. “Siyempe bata pa kami. And bilang lalaki, marami siyang gustong gawin sa buhay niya [kaya’t] mag-enjoy na muna siya.”
Meanwhile, Kim feels honored to be included in the Supahdance 2 crew, which includes John Prats, Rayver Cruz, Gab Valenciano, and Mickey Perz. The drama princess shared that it has always been her dream to be part of the celebrity dance group, which performs weekly on ASAP XV. “Siyempre feeling mo isa ka na ring dance icon,” she said. Star Records has released the Supahdance 2 album which consists of upbeat dance songs performed by the Supahdance group on ASAP XV.
