Sarah Geronimo admits she is a perfectionist |

Sarah Geronimo, who turns 22 on July 25, said that she is not yet sure whether or not she will be working on her birthday. “’Di pa kasi naibibigay sa amin ‘yung schedule [of work ko] sa July,” she said. But if she does get a break, the Pop Star Princess is hoping for some family bonding on her special day. “Hopefully makapag-out-of-town with my family ganyan, swimming ganon… wala pa kasing plano.”
While she still sees herself as a newbie in the industry even after six years, Sarah, who is the product of a singing contest in 2003, has already accomplished a lot in her career. “Of course I feel so blessed. Eto baguhan pa lang po ako, [pero] tuluy-tuloy talaga ‘yung pagtitiwala ng mga endorsements, even politics… Napakalaking bagay po ‘yun [kahit na] risky. Very thankful [ako] sa mga nagtitiwala.”
However, Sarah, a self-confessed perfectionist, does not just rely on luck because she works hard on her craft. “Siguro never ako kasing nasa-satisfy, for example, sa isang performance. May mga advantages at disadvantages din ang pagiging perfectionist kasi never kang nagiging happy with performances sa ginagawa mo.” But she clarified that she does enjoy every performance, inspired to perform better the next time. “Ang maganda rin doon sa pagiging perfectionist, ‘yun nga nagsisikap ka na maging better pa ‘yung performance mo the next time.”
Although she is being pitted against other fellow Kapamilya female stars, such as Bea Alonzo, Kim Chiu, Maja Salvador, Sarah would rather not compete with anyone. “Hindi ko naman hawak ang pag-iisip ng mga tao, ang kanilang opinyon pero iba-iba naman kasi ang mga artists eh. Kumbaga may iba-ibang ganda, may iba-ibang talent. Wala namang dahilan para i-compare pa sila kasi may napatunayan naman bawat isa at may napapatunayan pa.”
