Not long after Kelly Misa started her career as a co-host on Wowowee, the model-turned-actress is now making her acting debut via Agimat: Mga Alamat ni Ramon Revilla Sr. Presents Elias Paniki  which will have Jake Cuenca in the lead role. “It’s really what I want to do,” Kelly said of her fledgling hosting and acting stints. “And I hope na gumaling ako in both fields. Alam ko medyo mahirap ‘yon pero sana po magawa ko ‘yon pareho.”

Kelly is also thankful to her friends like stylist Liz Uy and Anne Curtis who have given their all-out support for her newfound career. “They have been very supportive from the start. Natutuwa naman sila with how I’m starting and sobrang thankful [ako to them],” she explained.

Kelly, who will be one of Jake’s leading ladies, revealed that she has witnessed how good he is as an actor. “Totoo ‘yon. Sa workshop pa lang napaka-intense ni Jake, napaka-focused and determined. Grabe ang acting skills niya.”

While she is an acting newbie, Kelly said she is up to the challenge of working with Jake. “You really need to keep up sa level niya, ibang klase siya, eh, kaya double time talaga for me. I felt na I really have to learn and I really have to be better because siyempre naman sobrang matatabunan and kailangan talaga.”

Elias Paniki premieres in May and also stars former Pinoy big Brother Double Up housemates Sam Pinto and Hermes Bautista.
