“I think because Ms. Kris Aquino had to make her choice to leave her showbiz-oriented talk shows and everything kaya nag-reshuffle ng hosts,” said Cesca Litton who will be joining Luis Manzano, Mariel Rodriguez, and Nikki Gil as the new set of hosts in Entertainment Live (E-Live) starting Saturday, July 10.

Best known as the voice behind Showbiz News Ngayon (SNN), the fashionable entertainment reporter officially signed a contract with ABS-CBN last July 6 and was very grateful to have been given another opportunity to do what she loves best, which is hosting. “Nakakapanibago. Sabi ko nga parang ang weird ng feeling na nandun ako sa kabilang side ng table. Sanay ako na ako ang may hawak ng microphone, naghihintay ng iinterviewhin kung sinong pumipirma na artista. Ever since naman gusto ko talaga pasukin ang hosting. Pero nagsimula ako from sports to radio tapos first mainstream show ko talaga yung SNN.”

But even if her schedule is about to get busier than ever, Cesca said that she has no plans to give up her stints as a PBA courtside reporter and a radio host just so she could concentrate on her showbiz career. “The way I see all these things, ang daming tao ang gustong gawin yung mga nagagawa ko for work. Hindi nga talaga siya work para sa kin kasi number one, mahilig talaga ako sa sports kahit wala sa itsura ko. Mahilig din ako sa music kaya I enjoy doing a radio show. And with SNN and E-Live, may chance naman ako makakilala ng mas maraming tao. It’s always a learning experience and ayoko dumating sa point na hindi na ako natututo sa ganito,” she explained.

In the meantime, Cesca maintained that she wouldn’t have a hard time adjusting to her new job since she’s already good friends with Mariel and Luis to begin with. “Siguro second year high school pa lang ako nakilala ko na si Mariel. Si Luis naman pareho kaming galing Colegio de San Agustin so matagal ko na rin siyang kilala. Si Nikki nakilala ko lang recently. But one thing I know about her is that she's also very religious and she comes from a very devout family also. Alam ko naman na napakabait ng mga makakasama kaya wala naman akong dapat ika-worry,” she beamed.

Now that she’ll be part of the limelight though, would she later consider pursuing an acting career as well? “My only acting experience is in theater pero medyo matagal-tagal na yun.Pero for now, I think ang focus ko talaga is hosting, yun ang hilig ko e.”
